Hot Chip have released their new single ‘Flutes’ from their forthcoming album ‘In our Heads’. Rather dope track and personally I’m really psyched for the new album. I must warn you if you dont like spinning then don’t watch the video for too long.

Lancelot is Lance Gurisik, hailing from Sydney. His debut EP “We Can Dance” was dropped a few days ago on Binary Records, needless to say he has hit the nail on the head with this one. “We Can Dance” is a solid release but the standout track, and perhaps the most aptly named, is Daphnis The Nymph. Smooth, suave and sophisticated, Lancelot is one to watch.
Music is the basis of all life, it comes from our inner most thoughts and emotions. Maceo recently jumped on the decks for BBC Radio 1’s essential mix show on saturday. This mix incorporates some of the deepest, funkiest and sexiest house music I’ve heard in an essential before. Maceo allows a free download of the set straight from his soundcloud. Shook is an enigmatic funky being. Shook’s songs are like electro space funk powered by some fat fresh bass lines. If I could compare Shook to anyone it would be Breakbot so if your a fan of Breakbot you’ll love this.
Shook has done some stellar remixes which I’ve included down below, my personal favourite being, The Wall.

Breatbot is the funky french electro jesus. His dancey beats and fat ass bass lines make him one of my favourite things to come out of france since Daft Punk. I’ve put some of my personal favourites of his here for yall to enjoy, starting with a couple of his originals followed by two of his best remixes. Anyways have a listen and see for yourself.

I’ve been meaning to post this song for a while now but kept getting sidetracked. Here’s Pretty Lights new song, “Wayfaring Stranger”, a collaboration with LeAnn Rimes and Ralph Stanley. I have never seen dubstep done quite so classy. If you don’t know who Pretty Lights is then you are missing out. His sound I would explain as glitchy hip-hop beats, buzzing synth lines, and vintage funk and soul samples. Pretty Lights is definatly someone to watch out for, especially now that he is making a move into dubstep… So, Fuck Skrillex.

Meet Squirtle. Squirtle again maintains his position as my all time favourite pokemon of all time. Ofcourse this is not to say there was not a league of worthy contenders that could have been selected (Genger, Mr. Mime, Charmeleon, Zapdos etc). But it seems this dope fucking turtle takes the cake again. Why? Well, for just one moment.. Get a load of this fantasticly retarded abomination. Half teddy bear, half lad and half waterpistol, hes a fuckin shiny blue turtle with an inbuilt water regenerator (or some shit, i don’t know how the fuck he produces all that water he hoses around) who is also capable of walking on his hind legs. This little prick doesn’t give a fuck about water restrictions and can even retreat into the dome of his hardass shell and hurl himself right the fuck at you. And we’ve all seen the turtle squad episode, squirtle’s fucking know how to get shit done, they start punch-on’s around town, light shit up on fire and rob every cunts fruit and veggie patch, making squirle undoubtedely the ultimate gangster pokemon, earning his rightful spot at #1

Valencia boy Maceo Plex is on a quest to fulfill his need to inject feeling and funk into the world, he has released hit after hit, making him one of my favorite artists of 2011.
These are a few goodies he released in 2011 (including one of my favourite songs of that year ‘stay high baby’), good speakers or headphones are essential when listening.
